Resolver consistency

Whether public resolvers return the same answers for your zone.

The Resolver consistency section compares answers from multiple public resolvers for key record types in your zone.

What we look for

  • Agreement on NS, A, AAAA, and MX answers across resolvers
  • Split-horizon or geo-specific differences that may be intentional
  • Stale cache or partial propagation after DNS changes
  • Unexpected answers that suggest hijacking or misconfiguration

Why it matters

Users reach your domain through many resolvers worldwide. Inconsistent answers can mean incomplete propagation, caching problems, or active interference.
